IP Ratings
The IP Code (or the International Protection Rating) consists of the letters IP followed by two digits or one digit and one letter and an optional letter As defined in the international standard IEC 60529.
The first digit represents protection against penetration by solid objects such as dust and body parts like hands and fingers.
The second digit defines the protection against the ingress of water.
NOTE: In the event of additional holes being drilled, pierced or knockouts removed, suitable measures should be taken to restore the product to its original rating.
