Flight Case Hardware

3D Flight Case Hardware

The old 3D Cases saying 'You draw it - we'll make it' is just as relevant today as it was in our early days.

To enable us to manufacture custom built flight cases we need to be able to select from a large pool of hardware, and to us, quality is a priority.

Over the years we have been involved at the early stage of hardware design, either designing ourselves or advising hardware manufacturers on final production. We also 'road test' products for the producers to ensure any problems are found before final production.

To last for many continuous years on the road each piece of hardware must be capable of many thousands of operations, take a catch for instance, it needs to open and close easily when required but be unable to be released accidently, and so the 'Butterfly Catch' was born. Styled on an American design it was reduced in height to stop it protruding from the case side when fitted to a recessed dish. Handles that 'snap back' into a recessed dish and 'Ball Corners' to protect the sides of the case. All standard hardware fittings on a flight case today but in the early days we were the first to own our own steel presses to produce the items for ourselves.

The fittings shown below are just an insight to a few of the very basic and commonly used hardware items used in our flight case construction. When needs arrive we also design and manufacture custom fittings and frameworks, and to date we have successfully protected everything our customers have drawn for us.

Flight Case - Guarantee

3D Flight Case Guarantee

We confidently offer a 10 year guarantee on all our flight cases as with over 30 years of designing flight cases we know how frustrating a damaged flight case can be on a tour. We do not build 'Bedroom' flight cases or import 'Look-a-Like' cases from China, our cases are designed to be used on a daily basis on world wide tours. Unlike other companies we not only guarantee all our case hardware fittings but also the case construction against wear and tear - that is, after all why you buy flight cases. Our guarantee does not include abuse by children under the age of four or bad fork lift driving but does include Heathrow baggage handlers!

Call or email us at [Spam Protected - Mouse over to reveal] today and find out why 3D Flight Cases offer you superior long term protection for your your equipment.
